Description
The Large Digit LED Clock DIY Kit is easy to build by following the provided pictures and the documentation included with the kit (basically matching parts to the positions on the PCB).
The finished clock will show the time and room temperature. It comes with an alarm function and an automated dimming function to lower the brightness at night.
We believe it shows time in 24H mode only and temperature in Celsius.
A CR1220 backup battery keeps time also if there is no main power supply available.

The Large Digit LED Clock DIY Kit is controlled by an 80C51 compatible microcontroller in combination with a DS1302 real-time-clock chip.
Operating instructions (machine translated from the included Chinese manual):
1. Press the No. 1 key once, and the No. 2 display area will flash: it means that the minutes of the time are adjustable. At this time, press the No. 2 button to adjust the minutes of the time.
2. Press the No. 1 button again, and the No. 1 display area flashes: the hour of the time is adjustable, at this time, press the No. 2 button to adjust the time of the time.
3. Press the No. 1 button again, and the No. 2 display area flashes: it means that the minute of the alarm clock can be adjusted. At this time, press the No. 2 button to adjust the minute of the alarm clock.
4. Press the No. 1 button again, and the No. 1 display area flashes: it means that the alarm clock can be adjusted. At this time, press the No. 2 button to adjust the alarm time.

Good Kit – Easy to assemble – only Chinese language instructions -ve 1 star. All Parts are of good quality. An improvement to the kit would be a knowledge check or theory of operation to learn why it does what it does ect.

These kits are easy to assemble since it only requires matching of the parts with the positions on the PCB – something that’s the same in either Chinese or English. Other than this, the function is explained right in the product description (I agree, the translation is terrible).
