Description
The RCW-0001 ultrasonic distance sensor is a non-contact device used to measure distances by sending out ultrasonic waves and measuring the time it takes for the waves to bounce back after hitting an object. It is commonly used in robotics, automation, and DIY projects to determine the distance of objects or to create obstacle avoidance systems.
The RCW-0001 consists of an ultrasonic transmitter and receiver, and can measure distances between 1 cm and 450 cm (@ 5V; 400cm @ 3.3V) with a very high resolution of 1mm. The sensor is compatible to the well-known HC-SR04 and can be used with the same libraries.
On the PCB are the transmitter and receiver, and the control logic. Only 2 digital ports are needed to connect the sensor to a microcontroller. A code example comes together with the Arduino library.
The operation voltage is 5V, and power consumption is just about 2mA. The measuring angle is about 15 degrees.
- Operating Voltage 3.3/5V
- Current Consumption <3mA.
- Measuring Distance 1-450cm.
- Measuring Resolution 1mm.
- Dimensions PCB 30.5 x 17 mm
