Description

6-Color 3mm LED Assortment. 120 LEDs in 6 different colours:

20 x green LED 3mm
20 x red LED 3mm
20 x yellow LED 3mm
20 x white LED 3mm
20 x blue LED 3mm
20 x orange LED 3mm

Max. current (continuous) is 20mA, resulting in a 2-3V forward voltage, depending on the colour.

LEDs are operated at constant current, not voltage! It is necessary, to limit the LED forward current with a resistor. The value of the resistor is easy to calculate following Ohm’s law: R = U / I

For example, a red LED with 10mA forward current at 2.2V, on a 12V power supply:
U = 12-2.2= 9.8V
I = 0.01A
R = 980 Ohm (for medium brightness)

For battery-operated applications, you should consider a much lower LED current, for example, 3-5mA.
