Description
Level Converter 3.3V-5V to connect 3.3V devices (sensors, memory cards etc.) to a 5V micro controller – or vice versa. Not many micro controller, running on a 3.3V power supply, can accept 5V signals on their inputs and outputs, without damage.
This tiny board works with max. data transfer rates of 28.8 kBaud, and it operates in both directions the same way (bi directional).
A 3.3V LDO to supply power for the 3.3V logic level outputs is integrated; only a 5V power supply is needed for the operation!
The maximum current for all 2 lines must not exceed a total of 150mA. With this in mind, the board can also be used, for example, to switch low-power 5V relays on 3.3V output pins.
– power supply 5V, max. 150mA
– on board 3.3V voltage regulator
– 2 bi-directional signal lines
– 3.3V to 5V and 5V to 3.3V signal conversion at max. 28800 bps.
Typical applications for the Level Converter 3.3V-5V are UART interfaces or I2C bus.
