Description
The 4-20mA to Voltage Converter enables any microcontroller with analog inputs to read a signal from a 4-20mA delice like a temperature sensor, pressure sensor, speed sensor and so on.
The supply voltage can be in a range of 7-36V DC and must be at least 2V above the required maximum output voltage.
Operation and adjustment:
Connect the module to a supply voltage 7-36V
Connect the input pins to the current loop (watch polarity!)
Set the current loop to 4mA, the required level for “zero”, and adjust the output voltage using the trim potentiometer “ZERO” to the desired level (for example 1V).
Set the current loop to 20mA, the required level for “maximum”, and adjust the output voltage using the trim potentiometer “SPAN” to the desired level (for example 5V or 10V).
The output voltage range can be selected according to the following table, using the 2 jumpers:
Output | Pins 1-2 | Pins 3-4 |
---|---|---|
0-2.5 | short | short |
0-3.3 | open | open |
0-5.0 | short | short |
0-10.0 | short | open |
The module PCB size is 42 x 25mm.
