MCP4725 is a 12-bit buffered DAC with a non-volatile memory (EEPROM). The device uses a two-wire I2C compatible serial interface and operates on a supply voltage of 2.7V to 5.5V.
As soon you want to output analog values from a microcontroller, most ICs like the Arduino series are very limited, and do not offer real D/A conversion outputs (only PWM digital outputs). The MCP4725 is the DAC that will add a real analog output to your microcontroller. This board breaks out each pin you will need to access and use the MCP4725. Pull-up resistors for the I2C bus can be assembled on the board if necessary.
